Ishant Ayadassen is the founder and CEO of Friday. He grew up in Mauritius, left for the United States in the early 2010s, and returned home in 2021 after several years as a licensed financial advisor at LPL Financial in the US.
He started Friday in December 2023 because the island had beautiful homes and underwhelming stays. Bookings felt like a lottery, the service felt absent, and nobody was really accountable when something went wrong. So he built the operator he'd want to use himself: a hospitality-first short-term-rental company that treats every residence like the only one, and every guest like a friend who flew in for the weekend.
Two years in, Friday looks after a focused portfolio across Flic en Flac and Grand Baie, with the same small team handling bookings, housekeeping, maintenance, and concierge end-to-end. Ishant runs strategy and visits every new property in person from the site-visit stage onward.
